26 Jun 3 Things I Wish I Knew When I Was in College
1. Be unapologetically you and Love yourself first.
Well what does that mean? The ability to shine your OWN light in the world without the fear of not fitting in… or fill in the blank…. We often struggle with this concept in every facet of our lives… the sooner we realize that.. it’s an unbelievable game changer.
2. Forgive and move on. (i know it’s a hard one)…
In this world of busyness, and hurt feelings, and harboring feelings… Many times things can get misconstrued. You may have hurt someone (inadvertently) or they may have come across you the wrong way… But there is NO reason to hold grudges… Everyone has good days and the inevitable ‘bad’ day… You have no idea what may be going on in their world… and thus COMPASSION is huge. Forgiveness allows you to move on, start fresh… more on this later =)…
3. Spend time with YOU.
What lights you up? What makes you come alive? Do you do those things everyday? How often DO you DO them? The more we know ‘thyself’ the more we can do options 1 & 2. and this can be wildly transformational. I remember in college I was SO focused on other people, ‘fitting in’, trying to be the ‘best’ and accomplishment driven, that I totally LACKED this concept…
