How to overcome fear of failure using emotional intelligence

Fear of failure.

One of the common and underlying themes of growth.

Haven’t you heard of the old adage, if it doesn’t scare you it’s not worth doing?

Fear creates a sense of urgency that is required, even in small doses, to act on something or to decide not to do something. It lies viscerally, deep within our cores.

Well guess what, it’s not about you. It’s about the magic that is yet to be created to benefit someone else.

For most of you reading this, and many entrepreneurs I’ve worked with in Silicon Valley, the notion is fail fast, and many times over.

Thomas Edison failed thousands of times before he got that damn light bulb right, thank you!

The same can be said for many experts who have made it in their respective fields.

The key to overcoming the fear of failure is mastering your emotional health.

Your mindset and your emotional intelligence is key to your excellence (yes, please!)

When you are in a peak state of mind, think of all the times when you’ve had the perfect day and everything has been going well, hold that thought.

Now insert […] terrible day, company lost contracts, long-time employee quit on you…

You ARE in control of MASTERING your emotions. You can allow your emotions to drive you or you can be driven by them into a low, pitiful self-loathing energy state where everything feels like failure.

You are the architect and are responsible for filling your emotional tank with whatever lights you up.

Cheers, and you got this!
